Whimbrel Colour Ringing Project

This is a photograph of the first colour marked Whimbrel on Arran which was caught and ringed by the Clyde Ringing Group in May 2017. It is part of a project to try to find out more about the movement and survival of Whimbrel which is a regular passage migrant on Arran

The birds are marked with a red colour ring on the right leg and a yellow flag on the left leg.
