Birds > Locations

From  Rubha Glas in the north to Whitefarland Point in the south and taking in Beinn Bharrain to the east, this area has extensive coast, access to uplands, woodlands and moorland, with a number of areas of fresh water including lochans, rivers and burns.

Most of the widespread and common birds are found in this area (See Arran Bird Report) plus there are regular sightings of all three divers, red-breasted merganser, common sandpiper, Manx shearwaters, razorbills, and goldeneye in winter.
