Whiting Bay

From Kings Cross Point in the north to Largymore in the south and taking in Knockinkelly and Glenashdale, this area has extensive coast, access to uplands, woodlands, and a number of areas of fresh water including, rivers and burns.

Most of the widespread and common birds are found in this area (See Arran Bird Report) plus there are regular sightings of all three divers, red-breasted merganser, dipper, gannet, whooper swans in winter and chiffchaff in the summer.
