Blackwaterfoot

From  Drumadoon Point in the north to Kilpatrick Point in the south and taking in Shiskine to the east, this area has extensive coast, access to uplands, woodland, and farmland with a number of areas of fresh water including ponds, rivers and burns.





Most of the widespread and common birds are found in this area (See Arran Bird Report
) plus there are regular sightings of hen harrier, all three divers, passage shore birds like whimbrel and purple sandpiper, wintering geese, white wagtail on passage, grey wagtail, ravens, fulmars, twite, black guillemot and rooks in winter.
